Dnnk.— Milk and water, barley water, -whey, tee- All should be taken warm. Cold drink* are injurious. Lautive Medicine.— lf the bowels are confined give ia the first instance a little rhubarb and magnesia or castor oil, or boon siitd aperient medicine, but no violent oi active purgatives. Ginger Tea.— Bruise six large roots oi eood ginger, and boil m one quart of watei for 10 or 15 minutes. Sweeten with sugai v required. The quantity to take is half t cup for adults, about a third for personi about 15 years, and a quarter for children It can be givin of tenar than three times t 4»v if required.
