HOW THE TROUBLE ORIGINATED. A DREADFUL AFFAIR. [UNITED PREBB ASSOCIATION.] New York, January 6. The Bsikersville trouble originated over fin illicit still. Three prisoners had murdered those who had informed against the proprietor of it. The lynchers rushed the gaol, and despite the deadly fire of the warders and others, rescued the prisoners who were guilty of the murder, and whom they toriurod and then shot, sotting the bodies on fire. January 7. Further fighting has taken place m oonnection with tha lynching incident at Bakeraville, North Carolina, and it is reported that twenty-five more people have been killed, making a total of 59 deaths. A CRUEL HOAX. Reosived January 9, 1 a.m. New York, January 7. The trouble reported from Bakarsville, which caused great excitement throughout the States, proves to be a hoax.
