ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
$ [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION-] Donbdin, December 23. Paul Tilly, 20 years of age, was drowned m the harbor this morning by the capsizing of a boat. He and three others were sailing across the bay when the hat of one blew off. They put about to recover it, and m doing so the boat capsized. The accident waa observed, but Before the boat reached them Tilly sank. The other three were recovered nearly exhausted. An extraordinary fatality occurred at South Dunedin to day. A number of boya were engaged m kite flying, when a lad aged 12 named Fiddis, boo of painter, trod on the kite of another boy named Foggarty, aged about 13, Poegarty struck him a blow, knocking him down. Fiddis died very shortly afterwards. Poggarty has been arrested. December 29. Fogarty was before the Police Court today, and formally remanded till to-morrow. The inquest on the deceased will be held this afternoon. The salvage sale of drapery is now on at London House. Men's clothing and mercery department m temporary premises opposite.
