THE AUCKLAND MYSTERY.-
(UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, November 11. The inquest as to the cause of the death of William Thompson wa3 continued to-day. Dr Robertson, who made the post mortem examination of the body of deceased, deposed that he had found no nnatnral cause of death. He did not examine the stomach, which has been sent for an analysis, though previous evidence went to show that the deceased was still alive when Scott left him to summon the doctor. Dr Robertson gave it as his opinion that the man must have been dead apparently for eight »r ten hours. It had been stated that a small phial was found near Thompson's dead body, a circumstance •which first aroused suspicion, but two witnesses examined to-da^ who want to see the body after Scott had left, and shortly after the new 3of Thompson's death was known, deposed that there was no phial m tha room when they went. There are a large number of witnesses yet to be heard.
