THE EVICTED TENANTS' COMMISSION.

[UNITED PBES3 ASSOCIATION. 1 London, November 10. The Opposition press continue to denonnce the partizan spirit exhibited by Mr Justice Matthews, Chairman of the Evicted Tenants' Commission. On the other hand the Government organs seek to justify his conduct, alleging that organised attempts are being made to throw discredit on the Commission. Beoeived November 12, 1 a.m. London, Nuverrsber 11, Messrs E. Murphy, Murrough, and O'Brien, mambers of the Evicted Tenants Commission, have withdrawn ; tha last named because he was appointed to the Land Commission. Mr Justice Matthews warned tha Tenants Commission they had no power to reinstate them. All the Commission could do was to report to Parliament, and he advisod them not to be over sanguine a3 to the- result of tbsir spplica* tions for reinstatement.
