: ♦- [united press association.] Dunedin, October 16; It is probab'e that the Minister of Lands will address his constituents some day next week, and the Premier will also probably address a meeting here also. The Hon. G. Eichardson intends addressing his constituents afterwards and replying to the Minister of Lands. The Hons J. McKenzie and Ward were m town to-day and received some private deputations, but none of a public nature. Chbistchurch, October 16. The banquet to Mr Perceval last night was a great success, and largely attended. The toast ef the guest was proposed by His Excellency the Governor. Mr Perceval m responding was received with tremendous applause. The Premier replied to the toast of the Ministry, and was well received.
