WOOL SALES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited, are m receipt of the following cablegram from London dated 7fch instant:— - Wool. — The sales closed firmly this day. Since closs of last sales wool has declined as follows : Greasy merino super, fine greasy crossbred, and medium greasy crossbred par per lb. Coarse greasy crossbred £d per lb. Coarse scoured crossbred, greasy merino lambs' super, and greasy crossbred lambs' to Id per lb ; medium washed crossbred, and medium scoured crossbred Id per lb. Scoured merinos super, greasy merino medium, inferior, washed merino medium, .inferior, fine washed crossbred, and fine scoured crossbred Id to l^d per lb ; greasy merino lambs' medium and inferior, l£d per lb. The total quantity sold during the past sales is 317,000 bales, of which 123,000 bales have been taken for the Continent and 7000 bales for America. It is estimated that 43,000 bale,s have been held over for future disposal.
