JUSTIFIABLE PROVOCATION.
The word Waterbnry (the name of the city m the U.S.A. where these celebrated watches are manufactured) has become a synonym throughout these colonies, as elsewhere, for all that is exact and trustworthy as regards to pocket timepieces. The Waterbury watches themselves provoke the admiration of all who wear them. The testimony m their favor is overwhelming, and admits of no dispute, while their reputation stands absolutely unrivalled. All their parts are made by the most beautiful automatic machinery so wonderfully perfect that it would seem impossible for human ingenuity to accomplish more. " The Australasian Agents of the Waterbury Watch Company have received thousands "of testimonials from grateful wearers of their watches, and every , mail brings fresh evidence m support of their wonder fal popu, larity. The following are a few samp'es of the opinions of Uioae who, having worn these watches, have learned from experience to appreciate their excellent qualities :— Messrs Mudie and Co., general storekeepers, Warrumbungul, write under date July 30, 1890 : — " We have received the watches sent by you, which have given great satisfaction. As to the one repaired, the owner would not give it for the best English lever. He says, 1 It has been a right good- friend to me, and I mean to stick to it to the last, and have it "doctored" each time it is ill, the same as myself, and that is not often.'" Mr Author Taplin, Cobitty, March 3, 1890, writes:— -" I am perfectly satisfied with the Waterbury Watch I have m my possession. I've seen a good many of the watches, and it is the general opinion that they are good, cheap watches." Mr James Buckley, Hanging Kock, February 7, 1890, writes: — "I consider the Waterbury Watch one of the premier watches of the age, and an invaluable boon to miners and bushmen. Considering the number m use m this district there can be no two opinions as to the general satisfaction they give." Mr Geokge Atlwyn, Gurley station, Nar rabri, August 22, 1890, writes :— " I have carried one of the old series Waterbury Watches for over two years, doing a good deal of riding, and have found it give entire satisfaction, and it has never yet required repair. I have now been using one of the "J" series- for the last year, and find it equal to the best watch I ever had." The faithfu) Waterbury Watches may be obtained from any respectable storekeeper or dealer throughout New Zealand.
