THE WELLINGTON FOOTBALL SCANDAL.
[SPECIAL.] Wellington, April 28. The disgraceful exhibition at Newtowa Park on .Saturday has been the talk of the town, and the principal offenders have come m for severe condemnation. The Post refers to the affair as a " display of verbal black* gaardisrn which conld scarcely be excelled m London scums," and implies that a tarm of imprisonment for using" obsceae language m a public place would be no more than some of the players deserve. As members of both teams are of good families and m good positions m the City the affair has naturally caused some stir.
