REPRISALS AGAINST CANADA. [DOTTED PBESS ASSOCIATION.] '- Washington, January 1. Mr J. G. Blame, Seoretary of State, has issued an order closing all American ports, except one, against the admission of Canadian cattle. The Canadians declare that this action is an attempt by the United States to coerce Canada into yielding to American claims respecting the Behring Sea fisheries dispute. The United States Government are sending seven additional armed steamers to effect the seizure of Sealers carrying' on their calling m Behring Sea. The Ameri. can Pacific squadron will mobilise at Port Townsend, Washington State, m ths Spring. Sir Julian Paunceforte, British Ambassador, denies that he resigns.
