It is doing splendid work. lam ploughing lOin. deep, on ridgy land, with five medium horses— the ground at present being harder than I ever .experienced, .. owin.g to the continued drought; Several farmers have been looking at the digger work and have expressed themselves highly satisfied with the manner it performs the work. They break up the ground so well that very little harrowing is required. lam working them with four horses eaoh, and doing four acres per day with eaohjplough. lam going to sow with the drill, and am considering whether I will harrow any before sowing, as the ground is so well pulverised already. "If I do, it will be only one turn of tbe harrows. My men say they make a much bitter job, and do not leave the furrow on edge m lea, as the imported one does.
