♦ ■ — -. ■■ The Buckeib secured the gold medal and special mention at the Melbourne Exhibition, the judges stating m their report tbat, "Its construction was a special study for every intelligent mechanic." The Buckeye Mower and Reaper won the first prize at the Tokomairiro Show. . The Buckeye Elevator won the great Bomsey Field Trial, beating the Hornsby, M'Cormick, Brandford, Massey. The Buckeye Lowdown will cut and bind every acre of cultivatable land m Otago ; no other machine can do this. The Buckeye Lowdown secured first prize at Palmerston North Show on the sth alt., beating the Brandford. The . Buckeye Lowdown has just sficured the grand national prize of Vie toria at Traralgon Show, beating all competitors. The Buckeye Lowdown will take part m all the principal competitive field trials of the coming season. Owners of hilly land, secure one before it is too late. The Buckeye Mtwer an Beaper won the fii-Bt prize at Palmerston North Show. The Buckeye Elevator secured first prize at Camperdown A. and 3 .Show, beating Hornsby, M'Cormick, Peering, and all competitors. The Buckeye Lowdown was awarded first prize at Jamestown, South Australia, the judges giving a special certificate, stating " In our opinion this machine is undoubtedly the machine of the future.' The Buckeye Harvester Company, has an agency m every important town m New Zealand ; carries a large and wellselected Btock of duplicates, and every duplicate part required by the farmer sup plied at from 20 to 50 per cent, less cost than the prices usually charged by other agents. Every reaper and binder claims to cut and bind without assistance on steep sidings. The Buckeye Harvester Company will give £100 to the Otago Hospital if any other reaper and binder will unassisted work on as steep land as their Lowdown, That is, of course, without a man or two sitting on their cilia. Although m competition with specially finished machines, on which no time or money had been spared, we exhibited then as now our ordinary stock machines, the same m every detail as supplied to farmers. We did not resort to nickel or gilt decorations, steel knotters, special binders, or even an extra coat of paint. Our manufacturers have won their laurels honestly, preferring to meet their reputation to the special merit of the Buckeye rather than to the elaborate finishing of any one machine specially fitted up oi. trial, show, or ex hibition purposes.
