THE LONDON MARKETS. TOITBD PBEBS ASSOCIATION.) London, Feb. 3. At Saturday's wool sales the competition of foreign buyers was more keen. Good scoured crossbred s show an advance principally m fine and greasy sorts. The prices at the opening of the sales are well maintained. Up to date 51,000 bales have been sold. The English wheat maiket shows a downward tendency ; the Continental has slightly improved, but the American is still depressed. For cargoes of Australian wheat (new crop) on passage, sellers ask 38s 6d per quarter. Australian flour is quoted at 28s ; New Zealand, 26s 6d ; colonial oats, 275.
