Entrance ss. BULES AND REGULATIONS. No entry will be taken except on the condition that all disputes, claims and objections arising shall be deoided by the stewards or whom they may appoint, sheir decision on all points connected with carrying out this programme to be final. Any person entering a protest shall deposit with the Seoretary £2 2s, and this sum shall be absolutely forfeited to the Pelorua J. C. Fund if the stewards find suoh protest a frivolous one. No person shall be allowed to enter a horse for any raoe (races for saddles exoepted) unless a subscriber of £1 to the raoe funds. All nominations, accompanied by fees, name age, and description of horse, and colors of riders, must be m the hands of the Seoretary not later than 8 p.m. on January 12th, 1889. Weights to be declared on Monday, 21st of January, and acceptances to olose on Friday, 2nd February, at 8 p.m. Three horses to accept or no race. Distriot horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident m the Pelorus Biding for tbree consecutive months previous to the race meeting, and owned by a person who has resided m the said riding during the same period. No horse shall be qualified to run m the hack races that has at any time previous won more than £5 of public money. Any jocliey riding m other than the colors entered will be fined £2.
