Bhe brings 1792 tons of cargo- and 114 I passengers, having landed 72 passenger* at Hob&rt. Prior to her arrival at Capetown a child m the steerage succumbed to an attack of menningites. She left Plymouth at 12 46 p.ra., September 10th; Teneriffe fi p.m. September .15«h ; had moderate to fresh B.W. winds with fine weather until crosiing the equator, September 22nd, long. 0 ; then had moderate B.W. winds until 28 bb, wben she encountered a heavy B.W. gale, which held to arrival at Capetown at 6.22 a.m. October Ist. Steaming time from Plymouth 20 days 10 hours 3 minntes. Left Capetown at 12.39 p.m. same day ; hid strong S W. winds, fol- i lowed by a succession of westerly. galeß.j and high sea, from Oot sth to 10th ; she made an average of 14 knots, followed by strong winds and high sea until arming atHobartat 4 a.m. on 20th, Steaming time from Oapetowa 18 days 6 hours 40 minutes. Left at Hobart 11.40 a.m. same day, had euocessioa strong B.W. gales ; passed Nuggets at 0.25 p.m. ou 23rd and arrived at Heads at 2.37 a.m. to-day.
