The New Zealand Shipping Company and the Shtw, Savill and Albion Company have jointly ten-, dered for a fortnightly mail service: of 39 days from Plymouth to Tas-^ mania for an annual subsidy oi £25,000 for a seven years service, and for a similar subsidy will convey mails from a point m New Zealand to Plymouth round Cape; Horn. They claim the ristht to cancel the homeward service if the New Zealand Shipping Company^ preaent contraot; for carrying the New Zealand mails is terminated. . :
