I and that it could not go off at half cock, I wish to give it a most unqualified deaial. The gun win handled by myself m the presence of the jury, •nd it went off at half cock, and so Mr Chuck conld prove ai he tr'ed it hi aself. Not only so bnt at the inspection yesterday there were several other carbines which were discovered to be n a similar condition.
