OMAKA ROAD BOARD.
The monthly meeting of tha Omaka Road Board took place this morning. Present Msssrs 0. Redwood (Chairman), W. B. Parker, W. S. Watson, C. Daviea. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. ACCOUNTS. The following accouuts were passed for payment :— lnspoctor £10 103 lOd, Seoretary £10 10s, Earp and Co £1 11s 3d, Impoander £2 10.3, Campbell and Nolan £20, H. O'Leary lla, G. Boyoe £4 17s sd, M. Lagnard £5, T. Hogaa £'£ 83 M, 3. Burton 143, Wm. Gosling £3 15s, aad Blenheim Borough Council (half share repairing Alabama Road and Redwood stroot) £18 Gs Dd.

Resolved* That the Board cannot give consent, as tile proposed site is within a ■ m :t e of the Borough, and does not, therefore, comply with the Act. " - mdrpiit's cheek. The Inspector [submitted plan and estimate for bridge over Murphy's creek, as requested by Mr Fulton. The Chairman said it vat obvious that the Board had no funds to go on v..th such a work at the present time. The estimate was three times the amount Mr Fulton thought it wou'd Co3t. Mr Parker srid the expense would be nearly half the Board's revenue. Mr Watson reminded the Boprd that the Middle Road all the way to Renwick still reqr'red metalling. Resolved, That the erection of the bridge be postponed for six months. TRANSFER OF JURISDICTION. Letter from the Wairau Road Board asking that the whole of that portion of the Middle Road lying above the six mile pole and of Goulter'a Cross Road, nnder the Omaka Board, should be placed under the control of the Wairau Board. The Inspector explained that the' object of the request was to allow vehicles with narrow tires to come from up-country without touohing the Omaka district and rendering themselves liable to the by-law, Mr Parker thought the request very reasonable, and moved that it be granted. Seconded by Sir Davies and agreed to. CO-OPERATIVE DRAIN. On the motion of Mr Davies seconded by Mr Watson it wts resolved that tenders be called for cleaning the eastern end of the co-operative drain from below Gridley's bridge to the sandhill outlet, and also the sandhill outlet to the junction of the co-operative drain. METALLING. On the motion of Mr Watson seconded by Mr Parker to do 7 chains of metalling m Uxbridge-street, Renwick Town. On the motion of Mr Watson the Inspector was instrncted to report upon works necessary to Inkerman-street, The Board then adjourned.
