TWICE MARRIED TO THE SAME MAN
Last Saturday, m Oakland, Mrs A. W. Pearson, of that place, and J. W. Letfwich, of Sacramento, were united m holy bonds of matrimony by Rev. Dr. Spreclde. About two months ago the bride became Mrs Pearson, having been divorced from the man to whom she is now married, as alleged, . on account of a protracted flirtaton with A. W. Pearson, whom she married as soon as divorced from Mr Letfwich. On 20th of last month the newly married couple, after a short season of bitter reflection, poverty, and despair determined to end their existence with, the help of laudanum, and made their attempt to cross the Styx together at the Bartlett House, m Oakland. Pearson was successful m his atttempt at suicide, but Mrs Pearson, having taken an overdose of the drug, remained a widow until last Saturday, when she accepted the offer of her former husband, who invited her to her old home to renew her position as wife an mother to his little child. — "SanFranciscoCaU/'Jau.29tu,
