NOTES FEOM WELLINGTON.

By Teleqbaph.

[From our own Correspondent.]

Wellington, June 4.

The contemplated reductions in the Armed Constabulary, ot which I advised you some time ago, have created excitement and dissatisfaction in Colonel Robert's camp, at Pungarehui. Serious trouble is said to be brewing betwean Tawhaiao and Rewi. As usual the Native Department is the last to know anything about it. Private advices report that the position of affairs is alarming.
