MR BRIGHT’S LECTURES.
Sir. —When people are destitute of wit it may be gratifying to their vanity to shine with borrowed lustre, such I take it, is the case with the zeal* ous individual who endeavors in your issue of Wednesday, to he facetious at the expense of Mr Bright, Will you permit me to tell him that the doggerel rubbish which he has adopted is a greater libel on Mr Bright and those who bold similar opinions, than that about which we were treated to two columns and a half of correspondence could have been. In conclusion, j_ beg to say that— From the night of crass ignorance—the dawning of light. The end of superstition, is the Gospel of Bright And though may hide from the Mrujhtness of day There is no such mean fear about me. Charles J. Has, March 2Sth, 1879.
