NOTICE. Free Nominated Immigration. {Extract from Order hi Council, SUt August, 1875.) A DDITIONAL REGULATIONS for thf A. Conduct of IMMIGRATION to NEW ZEALAND, on the Norainatiou of Immigrants by Persons resident therein : — |j 1. Except as hereinafter provided?, nominations of the following classes only will be accepted, viz : — Agricultural laborers, such as farm servants, navvies, shepherds, carpenters, country mechanics, &c, and Single women suitable for domestic service, such as cooks, housemaids, general servants, dairymaids, &c. 2. Married men mu^t be under 45 years of age, single men under 40 years of age, and single women between 15 and 35 years of age. ■3. Free passages will not be granted to more than 3 children under 12 years of age m one family ; but the number m excesß may be paid for at the current rate of passage. 4. Immigration Officers may provisionally accept nominations of persons not eligible under the foregoing Regulations if satisfied as to the prospect of employment upon arrival, &c. ; but such, nominations will be subject to the approval of the Minister for Immigration. 5. The Minister for Immigration may .-authorize payment m cash of such an amount as ihe may think fit to be taken for the passage of who under the foregoing Regulations oi .'in his opinion are ineligible for free passages ; :and nominators may also deposit with Immigration Officers any sums they may desire the Agent-General to advance to their friends for ■outfit or other embarkation expenses. 6. Persons wishing to obtain labor of a particular class may send instructions to their friends or agents at home through an Immigration Officer, and such agents will be accredited to the Agent-General, who will provide the persons selected by them with passages, should he deem them suitable. 456 IMPERIAL Fire Insurance Company.
