BLENHEIM, MONDAY, fDEC. 16th, 1872. (Before S. L. Muller, Esq., R.M.) M‘IVER V. I). MUNHO. Claim for £32 5s Id for goods supplied. Defendant did not appear. Judgment for plaintiff for full amount, with £2 6s costs. , : - ' jffIVKU B. PARSONS. • ■ . Mr Rogers in this, as in the former case, appeared for the plaintiff. The original claim was for £72 Is 3d. The defendant said he wished for an adjournment for The purpose of looking over the account. The summons having been served last Monday, the Bench ruled there had been time. enough to prepare a defence, and the case was.proceeded with.-—-Robert M‘lvor being, sworn, deposed to the various items of tho account. The defendant objected to a balance of £l2 9s, brought up to January, 1869. After some little debating the point was ceded, reducing the amount to £59 12s 3d, as still due. Defendant further objected, and produced a receipt for 7s (id, with which he had not been credited After a long 'and patient investigation of the plaintiff’s books, and liraring the evidence of the defendant on oath, the Dench gave judgment for tho plaintiff for the sum of £59 4s 9d, with £4 5s epsls..
