All starte’d.Won by Peeress by three lengths, without being touched. Knottingley second,;'hard flogged. Mariner third. The Maiden Plate was won by Mr Nosworthy’s Envy. The Lottery Plate by Mr Delamaine’s Miss Flat. v ' ■ The Free Handicap by Mr Stafford’s Lacenfeed. ,- : ' : Tuesday, 1 *3O p.m. In consequence of heavy rain falling during the morning, the Jockey oClub postponed to-day’s races, which has a great deal of grumbling.
