IN' pursuance of sections 14$, 240, and 241 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867,” notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Council of the Borough of Blenheim, to borrow a Loan of Ono -Thousand Pounds (,£l 000) on the security of a Special Rate of Sixpence in the Pound, the said Loan bearing interest at. the rate of eight per centum per annum, for the purpose of erecting permanent Protective Works, to prevent the overflow of the Opavva and Omaka rivers; the interest to he payable half-yearly, on the first day of April and the first day of October in every year, at the Bank of New Zealand, Blenheim, and such principal money being payable on the first day of April, 1878, at the Bank of New Zealand, Blenheim.
