(Fromour own Correspondents.) Nelson, Friday 5 p.m, Auckland news just received by the s. s. Rangitira. The Wonga Wonga had not yet arrived with mail from America, but was expected every hour. The City of Melbourne has arrived with 122 passengers for San Francisco route, and was to leave on the 4th. The Governor and the Native Minister have had a very satisfactory Tcorero [ meeting]] with the native chiefs at Whangaroa. The natives are anxious to have a town there. Mr. Carrington, the Ministerial candidate, is returned to the Assembly for Omata, Taranaki.
