GOLD DISCOVERY AT NELSON.
The following telegram was kindly placed at our disposal on Thursday last and published as an “ Extra : “ Nelson, Thursday noon. "A Quartz-reef has been discovered near Dovedule, about 40 miles from Nelson. The specimens shown are splendid, and gold can be seen all through the stone. “ There is great excitement about it.’’ —We beg to congratulate our poor Nelson friends on their good fortune.
