TO CORRESPONDENTS.
We are obliged to postpone J. G. C’s letter till our next with regret, being overwhelmed with an unusual pressure of correspondence, which could not well be deferred. “One of the Committee” writes respecting the Spring Creek School, taking similar ground to two others already in type when his note came to hand. We are obliged to defer it at least. Links commencing “Ye sons of grateful New Zealand,” are too crude for insertion. “Bless the Old Year 1 .” will be inserted in due course. . Lines on “ My Banker” would suit in a larger community very well, but here some persons would attach a personal meaning to them where none is intended. Ackowledgment. —The following donations in aid of William Thompson, of the Big Bush, have been received this week Mr. Murray, 55.; R. 8., ss, ; and J. E. 55., making, with the sum previously received, £3 17s.
