2TraUe Preliminary Notice. MAXIMILIAN ALEXANDER, WATCHMAKER, Jeweller, Optician, &c-, BEGS to inform his old Friends and Customers of Marlborough, and the adjacent provinces, that, after four years absence in Europe, he has again returned to New Zealand, and intends opening, at his own Premises in ALFRED STREET, BLENHEIM, in the Watchmaking and Jewellery branches. It is useless to expatiate upon his merits as a first-class workman, as his past deserts, regarding the genuineness of his goods, and the skill of his work, will be a guarantee for his future patronage and his success. The large stock, selected by himself, and directly imported from the first manufacturers of England, the Continent, and Paris, to suit the Colonies, will enable him to compete with any other house in New Zealand. NEW WOOL STORE, THE undersigned having erected a Commodious Store, with floor beyond the possibility of the highest floods, will be prepared, after Thursday Next, to receive Wool, and convey the same to ship at Port Underwood, at a general charge, including everything, at five shillings per bale. Parties favouring him with their wool may rely that every care will be taken of it, and means provided for its speedy shipment. Wool pressed and insured while in store.
