The Wool Market. —By Mr. Southey’s catalogue for September, it appeal’s that some small parcels of wool shipped by the John Bunyansold so low as and 2d. per lb., and in seveal cases greasy wool fetched only sd. This result should induce flockowners to seriously consider the necessity for scouring their wool this season.—H.B. Herald. [To which we may add, that unless fresh rams are speedily introduced, scouring will not long be necessary.] A return of the value of imports and exports for the quarter ending Sept. 30, shows as follows : — lmports —Wairau, from the United Kingdom, 2,691 Z, Victoria, 788?, total, 3,479?, being an increase of 549? on the corresponding quarter of 1867. Picton—from the United Kingdom, 10?, New South Wales, 77?, Victoria, 383 1, total, 470/, being a decrease on the corresponding quarter of 1867 of 670/. Exports —Wairau and Havelock, nil; Picton, 956/, the value of 6,212 gals, of whale oil, being a decrease of 257?. t(.
