Lands for the Province of Marlborough, do hereby give notice, that at noon on Wednesday, the 18th day of November next, the Allotments of Town Land, Suburban Land, and Pasture Land, set forth in the Schedule hereunto annexed, will be put up to Auction and offered for j Sale by public competition, at the Survey Office, Blenheim, in this province, at the upset prices mentioned in the said Schedule in accordance with the provisions of “ The Marlborough Waste Lands Act, 1867.” Ten per cent, of the purchase money must be deposited at the Sale, and the remainder within one month, or the deposit forfeited. IT is hereby notified for public information, that the Goodwill of the Lease for Fourteen years of the Government Reserve of 1,500 ACRES on the South side of the Clarence River, will be submitted to public competition, at the Survey Office, Blenheim, on Tuesday, the 20th October, at 12 noon. Conditions of Lease may be ascertained at this office. James Balfour Wemyss, Provincial Secretary. Superintendent’s Office, Blenheim, 9th October, 1868. IT is hereby notified for Public information, that the Stockyard of Mr. Philip Lawrence, situate in Wynen-street, Blenheim, shall cease to be used as a Public Pound from Saturday, the 17th instant ; and that the Stockyard of Mr. William Jeffries, of Maxwell Road, Blenheim, and the Stockyard of Mr. John Shepherd, of the Big Bush, shall from that date be Public Pounds ; and that the said William Jeffries and John Shepherd have been appointed Poundkeepers.
