GOVERNMENT NOTICES. as* NOTICE. The following resolutions were passed by the Education Board, at a Meeting, on Monday, June 22nd ; 1. That in any Educational District, in which the Rates and School Fees authorised to be collected under the provisions of the Education Act are sufficient, the Education Board shall maintain a school or schools in such district. 2. That in any Educational District, in which the Rates and School Fees so authorised to be collected are not sufficient to maintain a school, the Education Board shall call a meeting of the householders of such district for the purposes of determining whether they will agree to maintain a school or schools, receiving from the Board the use of the school buildings in such district, and a share of the funds at the disposal of the Board, equal at least to the amount of the Household Rate paid within the said district; and any district so agreeing shall elect a Committee, who shall be at liberty to charge such School Fees as they may consider necessary, and to have the full management and control of the school, provided always that the Education given shall be of a purely secular character. In accordance with the terms of the above resolutions, a MEETING of the HOUSEHOLDERS resident within the several Educational Districts, with the exception of Blenheim, is convened to be held at the SCHOOL HOUSES within each district, on Wednesday, the 15th day of July next, at One o’clock p.m. \* By order of the Board of Education, Thomas Williams, Secretary.
