The adjourned inquest in connection with the death of Albert Ryan, who was ■ found in an unconscious condition with in’s skull fractured in a bedroom of the Fraukton Junction Hotel on April 16, and who died two days later at Hamilton Hospital, was resumed this morning before Mr ML F. Mason, actingcoroner, ancl a. jury. Air J. 11. London latched emceed in gs on behalf of David Morgan ■ Leckie, the man who was arrested and accused of murder, and who is now in custody. Evidence was given by two witnesses to the effect that Leckie hit deceased ■•ver the head with a full bottle of lemonade in the bar parlor of the Commercial Hotel. Leckie complained that deceased bad seriously kicked him in a certain place and bad ruined him. Leckie was sworn as a witness anc said be was a freezing works employee, v- i-merlv employed at the Tmlay "Works. .Wanganui, but recently living at Tanmarumii. He declined to give further evidence. After a short retirement the jurv unanimously agreed that deceased, Albert Ryan,'met bis death as the msuL of a blow on the head from a full bottle of lemonade delivered by David Morgan Leckie.
