ENTERTAINMENTS.

STEVENSON’S PICTURES. A splendid week-night audience witnessed the usual change of programme at the Princess Theatre last evening, when “The Waif,” which served to introduce the remarkable boy actor M. Roubert was shown. The story of the waif’s rise from a street arab in New York to be a leading actor was closely followed and was presented on the screen in a most attractive manner. Roubert’s impersonation of Fagiu, Sherlock Holmes, and Sarah Bernhardt were quite a triumph in the art. An official war picture was shown, entitled “The Fight at St. Eloi,” and naturally Droved of enthralling interest. Amongst other items Charlie Chaplin’s trip round the world in 80 minutes orovokcd much merriment. The programme will be repeated this evening.
