PRiNCESS THEATRE
"The Martyrdom of Nurse Cavell" wa.s> the leading attract.on in the programme displayed -at ;he Princess Theatre'hist evening in aidi of the Red Cross Kund. The theatre was very well attended and the programme was an excellent one. The principal picture, the dramatisation of one of the mo-t moving tragedies in iho war, told the memorable .story of a brave woman's heroism. Tlie first film* showed Nurse Cavell at home, and tlien i'ollowed scenes in the Brussels Hospital, incidents in the love affair of a Belgian lieutenant, his call to tlie colors, imprisonment and escape, .German brutaliiy, I lie nurse charged with aiding prisoners to leave, the country, her denunciation hv a German spy and finally her execution. Patron-, expressed strong appreciation in appropriate terms for both the noble and the dastard lv incidents as'ihey appeared. Special music accompanied the film, and during t.he evening Mr A. A GUEAT FILM
At the Princes* Theatre to-night ''The. Heart of a Child." a magnificent "MlOft L-oiidon Film, triumph, will be the big attraction. This splendid' him is a superb dramatisation ol' the. hrt-e Frank Danbv's great .story, in which those famous screen celebrities, Edna. Flugarth and Edward (inns, are the ehiei actors. The wonderful story of Bally Snape, who had "the heart of a child," lias eclipsed jinv story that the eminent writer Krank 'Danbv, ever wrote. It is the hook which forced that gifted lady into fame. The picture teems with temperament and human nature, and it is said that, no one can witness it without being deeply .impressed. There iw a- brilliant .supporting programme, including some splendid films. "Relentless Dalton" is a fine, series of magnetic Lub ; u cartoons. "A Woman of Nerve," by the Reliance Co., is a gripping story that is certain to be popular. There- is a most interesting -film showing the Cathedral at Rhenn.s which should command much attention, also air excellent edition of the latest "European Gazette." In addition Episode XV. of the popular "Black Box" will be presented to-night. This instalment, will be most, interesting, as it unmasks the real culprit, in the case.

NEW GERMAN WEAPON
Tlio correspondent, of a Petrograd journal who is at the front speak* of a new weapon which has been distributed among German officers. This is a. small and well-made revolver, and when it is fired a cloud of suffocating gas e canes from the ca.rtrdge instead of a hullo.:. The gas ( ' oos ,U)t eauso death, but those who inhale it, become unconscious for several hours. It is staled that the Germans use this revolver for the tmrposo of obtaining prisoners .near the Russian trenches, their object being to compel :hoe prisoners to divulge information as to what is going on behind the Ihissiau lines. A few weeks ago the Russians sttccoeded in _ cap taring some of thes,< revolvers, which have been taken to Potrograd.
