A BURNING FATALITY.
PEB UNITED PIMWS ASSOCIATION ' D'UNED'IN, July 21. An inquest wan held this morning on the body of James Dunnett, who was severely binned at Owaka on .July 10 and died at the Dnnedin Hospital on Saturday. "Deceased lived by himself in a tent. His own statement was that tho tent was burned down, but this was not so. Potatoes wore found in the fire at wli'ch. he cook«d Irs meals and it is supposed that he bad bad a se'znre and fell into the fire. Deceased was a single man, 36 years of ago. He came from Scotland and is beLeved to have relatives in New Zealand. In March last' he was-in the Gishonie Hospital suffering from jaundice. Tho verirct was in accordance with tho medical testimony, "That death was due to scptb absorption and shock arising from severe burns." Tiie coroner added that there was no evidence to show how the accident occurred.
