A SORROWFUL SCENE.
At the memorial service for the Salvation Army victims of the Empress of Ireland in the Royal Albert Hall in front of the platform were 14-8 empty seats, the only empty seats in the half, and on the back of each was a white scarf which was to have been worn by a mail or woman who went down in the liner. These empty seats formed an 1 altar of sorrow to which, wet eyes were turned as the Salvationists "chanted their requiem. Relatives of the drowned sat with bowed heads while their comrades comforted the living and extolled the dead. ,
