GORE POULTRY SHOW.
A SUCCESSFUL CONCLUSION. The Gore} Poultry Show was brought tei a successful conclusion on Saturday night. There was a large attendance e>f the genera) public, and the proceedings were enlivened by excellent music rendered by the Gore Brass Rand. Great interest has been manifested throughout the show in the poultry exhibits, and many local poultry yards will benefit. by the introduction of new types of birds. Several- sales were made privately; and 1 the auction sale of presentation birds passed off successfully after spirited competition. Several competitions were hold during the even iig. Mi- Geo. Iverr won the amateur .judging competition, and Mr It. T. Wilson the sheep weightguessing competitiem with a guess of SOJIb', the a-.'tual weight beine 601b. Tilecrowing competition afforded considerable amusement. There were eight entries, the t:nie allotted beiii'C 15 minutes. Master E. Wallis' black and red bantam win the prize by crowing 18 times, and Mrs Geo. A. Adams' white Leghorn cockerel with IS times was second.
