The defenders of the capital had'two killed and 35 wounded. The insurgents renewed the attack and are now within 1000 yards of the Palace. The defenders have beenl reinforced from San Giovanni and Alessio. Prince William of Wied (ruler of Albania) telegraphed to the Queen of the Netherlands: "The victory was due to Colonel Thomson's (who was killed' and who was Major filuys' successor) courage and heroic leadership."
