SHORT WAY WITH LONG SPEECH.
During the three-minute speeches by workers at the Church Army meeting; at Queen's Hall, Langham Place, [London, lately, one speaker exceeded the time limit, and Prebendary Carlile, after making gestures in/vain, tried to pull him away. Without pausing in his flow of words the- speaker firmly gripped the iron rail in front of him, but finally, amid great applause, allowed Prehendarv Carlile to lift him backwards to his place.
