AUSTRALIA'S NAVY. Received! March 9, 9.5 a.m. SYDNEY, Marfch 9. The Australian fleet has returned from a four months' training cruise. Adttniral Sir G. E. Patey expresses himself well pleased with both the ships and the men. The ships are the equal of any of their time and commission in the Home fleet while the Australian, seamen are quick to learn and are a men a bleu to discipline. METHODIST CONFERENCE. Received March 9, 9.5 a.m. SYDNEY, March 9. The Metliodist Conference granted the New Zealand Conference's request to ordain Rev. Scriven for the mission field. SMALLPOX EPIDEMIC. SYDNEY, March 8. • A case of smallpox is reported from Stockton.
