Activity at the Dublin quays discloses few signs of the strike. The women are receiving extra Christmas allowances from the food ships. It is expected that many of the strikers will resume work on Monday. GERMANY'S UNEMPLOYED. Received December 26, 9.50 a.m. BERLIN, Dec. 25. The unemployed problem in Germany is the worst since 1908. The Socialists state that there are 1,250,000 unemployed, but a more conservative estimate is 800,000. The demand for unemployment i. durance is increasing. Herr Delbrueck (Minister for tke Interior) states that statistical material for an Imperial system does aot exis~, and; moreover the Government is opposed to it because it would relieve the .funds of Socialist trades unions and enable them to divert the money into political channels.
