GAOL FOR "DIVORCE SPIES."
A lawyer's <:lerk and a private detective, employed as "divorce spies" by a husband, were sentenced to 30 days' imprisonment for breaking into the flat of Mr Elmer de la Presi, an art decorator, of Now Yoi'k. The men. entered his bedroom through a window early in tho morning, when Mr de la Pivsi <.ml hi- wile were asleep, and proceeded to arrest Mrs de la Presi, whom her husband deloiulcd with a havonet. A violent struggle cii'sued, the' bedroom being practically wrecked. , . , Tho men pleaded that they entered the wrong flat. The magistrate told them that Mr de la Presi would have been justified in killing them.
