The report of the Now Zealand Rugby League, to be presented at the annual meeting, states that the past season was the busiest in the history of the league. The receipts of the Australian tour amounted to £1250, giving a profit of £217. The progress of. the game in the Dominion has been steady, the most notable move being the formation of a league in Canterbury. Another had been formed. l in Marlborough. The league began the year with a credit balance of £557 and finished with a balance of £393. The receipts from the leading matches were:—Auckland v. New Zealand £99, profit £6B; Auckland v. New South Wales £449. -wont £117; New South Wales v. New Zealand £671, profit £B7. The expenditure includes £lO5 in grants to the various leagues. The liabilities are nil.
