The GrSn Growers Association of Winnipeg has agents throughout the United Kingdom searching for desirable farm hands.
In accordance with a scheme adopted at the recent convention, tho Western farmers send to a central office in Winnipeg a memorandum tie number of men wanted and the nature of the duties required, with £ll passagemoney per man, and the Grain Growers' Company delivers the men in Winnipeg. The annual wages proposed are £2O to start with. Within the past few weeks 700 farm laborers from Somerset, Devon, and Wiltshire have booked passages for Canada, and 1000 more are expected to leave in the next few weeks. Their destination is the Saskatchewan district. So great is the rush that the accommodation of two steamship lines calling at Bristol is booked up, one until the end of April and the other until May 28.
