BOY'S TERRIBLE ACCIDENT.

PEAT OF ENDURANCE. A dreadful accident occurred to a boy, Stanley Huxley, aged 13,- at Gunueciali (New South Wales) lately. He was driving a, sulky at the tall of a n:ob of sheep, travelling to Mullaley, aud using a long stick to poke the sheep along. The sulky capsized on a stump, and he was thrown sharply out. His right leg caught between the body of "the sulky and the wheel, and waa broken clean off above the knee. The broken limb fell on the ground. The horse moved a few yards, but the boy crawled after it and crawled" into the sulky leaving his leg behind him. He called to- -tho men in charge of the sheep, and when they came along he asked + .heiu to put bis leg into the sulky. He was driven to the hospital at once, fainting on the way from shock and loss of blood. At the hospital a further part of the leg was amputated. Although in very low condition he is • expected to recover.
