WEDDING AT EAST GORE.
burrows—Mcdowell. A wedding of considerable local interest was celebrated on Tuesday at "Riversmoad," East Gore, the residence of Mr and Mrs W. McDowell, when their eldest daughter, Ellen Mary, was married to Mr Albert N. Burrows, of the Gordon Nursery." East Gore. Rev. G. Hervey officiated. The bride, who was given away ]>v her father, was attired in cream silk. She wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms and carried a handsome shower bouquet. Miss Edith McDowell was bridesmaid, and wore a white embroidered robe and blue -hat and carried a bouquet of pink and white flowers. Misses Ettie and Alice McDowell and Thelma Morris acted as flower girls, and wore white embroidered' frocks. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Horace G. Day. A dainty breakfast was partaken of by a large number of guests in the barn, which was prettilv decorated bv lady friends of the brde. and t.h» usual toasts were honored. Mr and Mrs Burrows subseotien f lv left ~v ' v iot»r car en route for the North Island, where the. honeymoon will be spent.
