The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited and Reduced is in receipt of tho following cablegram from its London bouse, under date, November 27 : Wool.—There was a full attendance at the opening of the sales to-day, competition by Homo and Continental buyers Ijcing keen, and prices as oompaied with tho close of preceding series ruled in sellers' favor. The opening catalogues were fairly representative. An compared with last sales' closing rati* prices were 7i to 10 per cent./higher for coarse crossbred and merino and about 5 per cent. LTgher for fino crossbred and medium crossbred. America was opera ting. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received tho following cable from their head office, dated London, November 26: —At the wool sales the attendance of buyers is large, competition animatc-d, and selection good.
