Received November 29, 9.25 a.m. ! SYDNEY, Nov. 29. The sentence of death passed on Theodose has been commuted.

A young man named Theodose was in October sentenced to death at Grafton for the murder of Hoey, a hawker, on July 22 last. The prisoner made a statement that he was getting a rifle oat of Hoey's tent in the darkness when the weapon went off, shooting Hoey. He was seared by t'he accident, and fled.
