CONGO DIAMONDS.

The discovery off diamonds in the Belgian Congo is giving rise to much discussion in Brussels. Hie following facts are based on the most careful inquiries : The largest discoveries have taken place in the Kassai district, close by the Portuguest frontiers. Up to now some 600 diamonds have been discovered in tributaries of the Kassai River. Tlhe discoveries have been made by the Forestiere et ?»liniere Company, a Bel-gian-American concern (the Brussels Societe Generale aiid Messrs Guggenheim, Ryan, and Co., of New York). The diamonds discovered, if not as valuable as the Kiinberley ones, are as good as those in German South-West Africa. The other discoveries have been made by prospectors of the Tanganyika Concessions, Ltd. (a British: concern), in the Katange district, near Northern Rhodesia.
